Much love and thanks to you, my friend!
INTWINE is a young adult, science fiction series of four books. It tells the story of Juliette Greenmoss, whose life is flipped upside-down after falling for an inter-stellar, rock star, prince named Seth.
I wrote the books for teenage girls but I get just as much fan contact from boys, men and women. The ages of known fans of INTWINErange between ten and eighty-nine years old.
It isn't uncommon for a young adult series to "crossover" to adult readers and vice versa. The publishing industry calls it "crossover fiction." For example, Ender's Game was originally written for adults but became very popular among teens, and Hunger Games, a young adult series, turned out to have universal appeal. In fact the same thing happened with Twilight and the Harry Potter books.
Everyone wants a book description from the author, but it's not easy to boil down hundreds of thousands of words to a few sentences. Ask any author who has to do that for his or her own novel. I guarantee there will be whining involved. So don't judge me for plagiarizing the first paragraph above. That's right, I took it from a book reviewer who covered INTWINE in an LA Times publication.
(I also want to confess that admitting to it, is far easier than trying to condense four books into one paragraph.)
Fortunately, I have another tool to convey the flavor of INTWINE. It's the comments from readers, and I'm posting some below.
"INTWINE is like a newborn comet racing across a galaxy. Withthe author's easy narrative and fast-paced flow, I found myself hooked andunable to put the story down. The books of Christina Moss are not only forteens; they have universal appeal, even for older readers like myself!" --Ron
"I'm really enjoying INTWINE. I'm totally in love with Seth and Juliette! You have it in you to be 'the next greatauthor' who will stand the test of time. Thank you for sharing your art." --Stephanie
"Intwine was a true page turner and I wanted the world tojust take a break so I could remain completely immersed in the story withoutdistraction until the end. By the time I read the last page, I felt as though Ihad known the characters for a long time and they were part of mylife. I could appreciate the feelings, emotions, concerns and humor of eachcharacter. The story pulled me along inthe adventures at a break-neck pace that I loved. It made me laugh out loud, yearn for Seth's home, feel like a young girl madly in love for the first timeand so much more. I didn't want it to end and no doubt I will be repeatingmyself after your next book!!! Can't wait!" --Paula (continued)
